R. v. K.F.
K.F. was charged with assault causing bodily harm after an argument with his elderly wife. During the incident, he pushed her away, causing her to fall and suffer a broken hip. At sentencing, Celine successfully persuaded the Court that a criminal conviction was not appropriate. K.F. received a conditional discharge, allowing him to avoid a criminal record.
R. v. K.D.
K.D. was charged with assault causing bodily harm following an argument with his wife. After reviewing the circumstances of the case, Celine successfully persuaded the Crown that continuing the prosecution was not in the public interest. The criminal charge was withdrawn, and K.D. entered into a peace bond, avoiding a criminal conviction.
R. v. K.F.
K.F. was originally facing allegations of years of abuse made by his wife. Through negotiations, Celine successfully persuaded the Crown to resolve the case with a plea to mischief instead of the more serious allegations. At sentencing, Celine convinced the Court that a conditional discharge was the appropriate outcome, allowing K.F. to avoid a criminal record.
