Ottawa Criminal Defence Lawyer

Céline Dostaler

Céline Dostaler is born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario.  She studied at the University of Ottawa, where she completed a bilingual undergraduate degree in Criminology and Psychology.  She completed the French Common Law Program in 2009 and was called to the bar in 2010.

Céline has been working exclusively in criminal defence law.  She defends all criminal charges, including assault charges, domestic assault, impaired driving, Driving Under Influence (DUI), drug charges, sex offences, child pornography, and fraud.  She appears regularly before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice in Ottawa, L’Orignal, Brockville, Perth, Cornwall and Pembroke.

Single Point of Contact

When you call Céline, rest assured you will only speak to her.  She is the only point of contact: you will never have to repeat yourself to other lawyers or members of her firm to discuss the important details of your case.  You can also chose to speak to her in French or English, and nothing will be lost in translation.

Proactive and Tireless Defence

As your criminal defence lawyer, Céline Dostaler will help you fully understand the law, the charges and issues you face, and your place within the justice system.  She brings dedication, preparation, and tenacity to every client’s criminal case.  Celine works tirelessly and diligently on her clients’ case.

She comes to court prepared to win. For the duration of your case, she will advise you of your options, the advantages and disadvantages of each, and how your decisions can advance your interests.  Her proactive and deep preparation of the case significantly increases the chances of weakening the Crown’s case or discovering inconsistencies in witnesses’ testimony and police notes in order to remove or reduce charges against you.

No Hidden Fees

You can browse some of Céline’s past case results, or contact her to set up a free, in-person, 30-minute consultation at your convenience.

Fees are discussed during the free consultation. Block fees are set for each phase of the criminal process, and there are no extra charges for calls, meetings or going to court on behalf of the client. Céline prides herself in no hidden or unexpected fees: you can feel comfortable calling her to ask any question about your case without the worry of being charged extra. Céline takes the time to explain the Criminal Court system to her clients, because she understands the fear her clients face knowing that they are facing a criminal conviction fro the first time.
